1st day

  • Arrival in St. Petersburg. Welcome reception at the airport/railway/bus station.
  • Transfer to the hotel accompanied by a qualified English-speaking guide.
  • Hotel check-in.
  • Spare time in the city.

2nd day

  • Breakfast in the hotel.

  • City tour. Ride along Nevsky Avenue, passing the Bronze Horseman, Academy of Arts and St. Petersburg University, around the Theatre Square (Mariinsky “Kirov” Opera and Ballet House), Ostrovsky Square (Alexander Theatre) and the Square of Arts (Michael Theatre and Russian Museum). Photo-stops on the Spit of the Bazil Island, on St. Isaac Square , by the battle-ship “Aurora”, near Smolny Institute and St Nickolas Naval Cathedral.

  • Walking tour. Michael Garden. The Field of Mars. The Neva River Embankment.

  • Museum “The Universe of Water”. The exhibitions are located in the Water Tower and the building of the former reservoir of the Main Water Works. The museum has a great number of historical materials and various items relating to the subject of “water”.

  • Lunch.

  • St. Petersburg Zoo. It is one of the most northerly Zoos in the world. It maintains the 18th century lay-out and is an integral part of the architecture of the city's historical center. There is a wonderful collection of animals in the Zoo made up of 3741 examples of 644 species from every continents of the world.

  • “Oceanarium” – “the underwater museum” with living exhibits – the inhabitants of the undersea world.

  • Return to the hotel.

3rd day

  • Breakfast in the hotel.

  • Museum of Bread. The museum’s displays to visitors many different exhibits connected with bread in some way – from the historical items telling us about ancient agriculture to the modern equipment used for the baking of bread. A special area is devoted to an exhibition dedicated to the tragic days of starvation during the Second World War’s Siege of Leningrad.

  • Botanical Garden. Plants from the whole world brought to St. Petersburg by different scientific expeditions can be found here. It’s possible to follow the development of flora from ancient times to the present day in the garden. Walk through the park, a guided tour of the orangery.

  • Lunch.

  • Zoological Museum of the Russian Academy of Science – this is the largest museum in the world of its kind. There are about 30 000 exhibits in the museum; they are situated over 6 000 square meters and three floors of the museum.

  • Return to the hotel.

4th day

  • Breakfast in the hotel.

  • Imperial summer residence“Tsar Village”. Visit to the Catherine Palace known worldwide for its unique Ember room. A walk around the park.

  • Lunch.

  • “Peterhof” – the former summer residence of Russian Emperors, famous for its magnificent fountains. A walk around the Upper and Lower Gardens. The Gulf of Finland.

  • “Peterhof” - the Aviaries. Exotic birds were kept in them in Imperial times. Recently this tradition was restored.

  • “Peterhof” - the Grottoes of the Grand Cascade. Guests can see the tunnels with the pipes which supply the fountains with water, and an exhibition dedicated to the work of fountain masters of the past.

  • Return to the city by hydrofoil.

  • Return to the hotel.

5th day

  • Breakfast in the hotel.
  • Check-out at the hotel.
  • Spare time in the city.
  • Airport/railway/bus station transfer

The price of the tour includes:

  • Welcome reception at the airport/railway station.

  • Transfer from the airport/railway station to the hotel and back accompanied by a qualified English-speaking guide.

  • Assistance by the hotel accommodation.

  • Four nights in the hotel 3*, 4* or 5* (prices according to the category of the hotel).

  • Four breakfasts in the hotel.

  • Three lunches in the city.

  • Excursions (the services of a qualified guide and air conditioned tour bus) according to the program.

  • Entrance tickets to all the museums in accordance with the program.

  • Organized tours in all the museums led either by your guide or by the museum guide with your guide’s interpretation.

  • Radio-equipment (microphone and transmitters for the guide and earphones and receivers for tourists) that must be used inside all the museums by groups bigger than 7.

  • All local Russian Taxes.

The price of the tour DOES NOT include:

  • Plane/ railway tickets outside of Russia (can be booked on request).

  • Russian visa (on request we can send you the official invitation for visa (“visa support”), then you will need to apply for visa at the local Russian Consulate with this document).

  • Personal insurances (can be processed on request).

  • Dinners (can be organized for extra charge). 

  • Photo and/or video permits that are required in some museums (they can be booked, on request, or purchased in cash at the door).

Gratitudes to the guide (10% suggested) and the driver (5% suggested), to be given separately in cash (Euro, Rub or USD).
